I have about half a box (500) of Herter's shotgun primers from the 60's or 70's, they work fine.

Been cleaning house, shooting up some of the old stuff. Picked up a bunch of new primers and powder...

This stuff works pretty good on about everything.
It will take the scum line off of a white fiberglass boat.

About that bag of brass. If by chance you have any Hornady 45-70 brass in the bag. Check the length, some Hornady brass is shorter...

Lube your brass --- The 45-70 has a bit of a taper. The die has no carbide ring like straight wall (.45 colt,.357) revolver dies.

The Lee dies will work fine with the J-bullet
I shoot hand cast lead bullets in an 1895 Marlin, so can't say what a good jacketed bullet would be.

Just this past summer at an estate sale. Picked up an eight lb. keg of Unique, never opened.
The date stamped on the cardboard container was 1993. The stuff shoots great and the price was right.
