Re: Favorite hot sauce
Not a big Tabasco fan. I actually like Hog's Breath the best. Louisiana is good also. There is a habanero that we have at home that I really like as well, but I don't remember the brand. Tastes...

Re: Left handed Rifle shooters...
Bolt action centerfire rifles - I get left handed models always. My .22's are right handed (I don't think they make a left handed bolt action .22). Shotguns, I just use right handed models, and...

Re: Taxidermy
The last thing I had mounted was a whitetail buck in 2007. Cost me $250 at my guy. In the city I live, it would have run me $450-$750. More in bigger cities like Houston. The guys I use does...

Re: who knows about layout blinds?
I used them in Canada and they worked great. Surprisingly comfortable as well. I don't remember what brand. Unfold them, put some of the stubble from the field you are hunting on them, and you are...

Re: Taxidermy
Are you talking about do-it-yourself, or sending animals to a taxidermist? I have several ducks, geese and one deer mounted. It can be expensive, but I have used a guy for many years that is much...

Re: E-85 fuel?
Yes, they were rhetorical. I realize that the answer is that the government is involved, therefore any action should not be expected to make sense.

Re: Trolling motor ?
My 24 volt motor has a four prong plug with internal jumpers to allow 24 volt service. That may be what you have. Marinco is the brand of mine. It allows 24 volt without wiring the two batteries...

Re: E-85 fuel?
By the way, we don't have enough corn to serve as food, so why are we putting it in our gas tanks? And why is the government about to increase the amount of ethanol required in gas, despite the high...

Re: E-85 fuel?
Ehtanol burns less efficiently than gas, period. The more ethanol, the lower your mileage.
Also, ethanol absorbs water at a much higher level than gas. In a sealed tank like most vehicles or if...

Re: Hunting areas
This is why I posted my land. I hunt it myself and don't want anyone else hunting it, but would have no problem with people fishing the ponds if they took care of it. Unfortunately, they do not, so...

Re: Can't decide which 45-70 to get.
The H&R will allow you to hunt during the primitive weapons season in many states. The Marlin will not. I bought a Handi-Rifle for that reason alone.

Re: New Ruger .357 Bolt Action Rifle
Many people kill deer with a .357 at 100 yards with a barrel much shorter than 16 inches, so I think it would be fine. I would also be perfectly comfortable using it on hogs.

Re: Ruger M77 30-06 Loads
If you don't handload, I would just pick several different factory hunting loads and try them out. You can never tell which will shoot best in any given rifle until you try it. If you do handload,...
