They say the occurence of Guillain-Barre is less than one in a million, yet several people here in South LA have it. The effects of it are much worse the getting the flu. I have had the flu and...

Re: Do you think the electoral college is out dated?

Be careful what you wish for. The electoral college is designed to protect states that have low population from becoming irrelevant. If you go by popular vote, the states like California and New...

Re: Left handed Rifle shooters...

Bolt action centerfire rifles - I get left handed models always. My .22's are right handed (I don't think they make a left handed bolt action .22). Shotguns, I just use right handed models, and...

Re: Taxidermy

Yes, they were rhetorical. I realize that the answer is that the government is involved, therefore any action should not be expected to make sense.

Re: E-85 fuel?

Ehtanol burns less efficiently than gas, period. The more ethanol, the lower your mileage.

Also, ethanol absorbs water at a much higher level than gas. In a sealed tank like most vehicles or if...

Re: Can't decide which 45-70 to get.

The H&R will allow you to hunt during the primitive weapons season in many states. The Marlin will not. I bought a Handi-Rifle for that reason alone.

Re: New Ruger .357 Bolt Action Rifle

Many people kill deer with a .357 at 100 yards with a barrel much shorter than 16 inches, so I think it would be fine. I would also be perfectly comfortable using it on hogs.

Re: What scope zoom magnification do you use the most?

I also like a 4x fixed on my .22's. I mostly use them for hunting at 50 yards and less. Will shoot out to 100 on the range, but no problem using 4x for that either.
