Re: Win 1897 info request
Be careful. Some of the early 1897's shot 2 1/2 " shells only. Make sure the barrel is clearly marked for 2 3/4". Or, have a gunsmith check it for you.

Re: What was the first .22 you actually owned?
My first was a model 15Y Stevens. I shot hundreds of rounds through it and it shoots as well today as it did when it was new.
My dad bought it at a local general store in 1958 when I was taking my...

No livestock. Just a love for the land, deer, turkies, hunting and the outdoors.
The whole family gets involved in the work from planting, maintaining to hunting.

Re: Mauser HSC
I am really glad I asked my original question. Seems as though the little Mauser is more interesting than I realized. A lot of variations in a seemingly simple model handgun.
I have never shot it ,...

I am new here and am wondering if anyone on here collects "Gun Digest " books. I have the complete collection of books from 1944 to 2010. I display these proudly.
Anyone else collect these?
