Re: remington 1100 410 question
My 410 1100 VR has a walnut stock. The 28 has a mahogany stock. Both are wonderful to carry, but shot on doves are limited to 20 yards with the 410. The 28 will bag them at 35 yards all day long...

Re: Night Stand Pistol
With those owl had grips, I'd say it is an Iver Johnson. My brother has our great grandmother's revolver that looks like the photo, but in poorer condition. It is chambered for 38 S&W.

Re: AEGIS Cruiser
My first and last ship was the USS Liberty (AGTR-5). The keel was bent from the torpedo blast, so the ship was sold for scrape after we decommissioned her in 1968.

I have a Kahr P380. After the 200 round break in, it is very reliable. It is also very accurate. I just put a Crimson Trace laser sight on last week. My reloading dies are due in this week. I...

Re: RAM ROD question
The ram rod in or out of the rifle won't make it more stable. You need to carry a ramrod while hunting, so why not carry it with the rifle? You may need a sturdier ramrod than some of the factory...

My brother won one at a rifle club banquet. This is the Russian made model imported by Browning/Winchester. It is very accurate with all the ammo I've tried. He mounted a cheap BSA 4X scope. At...

Re: Deer hunting question
We saw a doe on our lease last year that the hunter across the road shot in the jaw. We did not get a chance to kill it. It was not a pretty sight. I always try for lung shots.

Re: tc.scout carbine
What caliber, 50 or 54? For a 50 start with 50 grains of 2f or 3f black powder. A good starting a 54 is 60 grains. If you are using a black powder substitute I would start with the same charges.

Thanks for the help. I've used the Break Free as suggested and moved the firing pin back and forth several times. I will test fire the revolver this weekend.
