Re: JUST BOUGHT .22LR

I can understand buying one or two bricks at these rip-off prices, but to spend $500 to $600 for a case makes no sense. Paying $60 per brick doesn't leave much profit margin to gouge the next...

Re: Local Walmart Ammo

I shoot a Glock 22 and am pleased that the 40S&W ammo is still on the shelves at most locations. I thought with all the praise for anything 17 HMR would have that ammo cleaned out too. Not sure...

Re: Local Walmart Ammo

It's the same at dealers wholesale supply houses with empty ammo shelves. Not a pretty picture like about four years ago. With all the transparency coming out of DC, we should be getting answers...

Re: Does This Type of .22 Exist?

At $600+ retail, no thanks. Clever idea though costly.

Re: Super Blackhawk grip broke.

The dimpled Hogues are the most comfortable rubbers you can get. The harder diamond pattern Pachmayr's will act like 20 grit sandpaper on your palm after a couple of cylinders full.
The oversize...

Re: H&R 999 sportsman

It's amazing all the different answers available if you ask Mr. Google to do a search on a specific topic.

Re: H&R 999 sportsman

The first letter N = NEF, H = H&R, the second letter denotes year of manufacture.

A= 1986 H&R will only fit the original chambering(replacement for defective rifle), 357Mag, 44mag, and shotgun...

Re: New Heritage Rough Rider

Falcon,

Don't break out the files or grinder yet. Have other shooters of your RR had groups that low also ? If others hit that low, send the gun back for repair since the barrel has a bad case...

Re: Info on this gun?

Very unique setup. First time I've ever seen downward barrel pressure. Those two threaded escutcheons are meant to be set into the stock forearm and the external adjustment screws allow upward...

Re: Anyone have a Marlin M-1 .22?

If there isn't a serial number on the side of the receiver, look for two small letters on the left side of the barrel just in front of the handguard. Use the chart below to date it.
If the ser....

Re: Single Action Or Double Action 22's Do You Have A Favorite

The Double Nine is as close as I'll get to any other 22 dbl action. Double action is meant for .38 and larger. I still prefer my Colt Scouts and Single Sixes. Here's my $40 gun show special that...

Re: Rifle for 22CB shorts

Inexpensive single shot but very accurate. The Crickett youth model is about $125 and the adults are about $30 higher.

Re: Wally World Ammo Shortage

Must be a border state panic situation. Kansas WM's have full shelves unlike the great ammo shortage. Might change the closer we get to Nov. We only have two local WM's that stock long guns.

Re: CHIPPAWA 1911 IN .22LR

Yes I have. A decent 22 plinker so so clone of the 1911. I later bought the GSG 1911 which is a better shooting and feeling 1911 in my opinion. For about $30 more, I'd go with the GSG and another...

Re: looking for best 22 wmr auto's

10/22 mag $500 - 600
Rem 597mag $400 - 500 not an option
Grendel 30 $400
AMT Auto mag $400 - 500

I agree with the earlier post for the much cheaper bolt action rifle and a revolver...

Re: New Today

With that pressed in barrel like my Chiappa 1911 removes the importance of the barrel bushing for the wobble barrels in the other 1911-22's. Yes, we need a range report.

Re: info wanted on older .22lr Target rifles

The trigger on the old 44US I had for a short time was the deal killer. I would assume the 144 is the same heavy military type trigger. They can be worked over to give a lighter crisp letoff. If...

Re: info wanted on older .22lr Target rifles

H&R 5200 I owned one way back when. Close in accuracy to my 52,40x or 37 but the trigger isn't in the same class. If you have a windfall blow your way, look for a Martini International MK II or...
