Re: when and where was your !st encounter with the m1 garand

About a month ago, my son and I went through the CMP marksmanship program. I was amazed at how accurate the gun was-open sights at 200 yards and I shot a 395 out of 500. Nothing to write home about...

Thanks Josh; as always your insight is very much appreciated.

Re: Whoa!! Chrono'd some factory loads..

Rest assured I'm having a good time, it's just that I would expect factory ammo to meet certain standards. As an example, if I buy 45 230 grain hardball I would expect about 830 fps. A friend just...

Whoa!! Chrono'd some factory loads..

First up was Hornady critical defense ammo 115 grain 9 mm clocked at 1000 fps (!)
Next was Winchester White Box,...

Re: What have you bought (firearms related) in the last 48 hours?

Redding T7 turret press. Boy can't wait for this big ole' hunk of steel to get here. Expected delivery around mid-June. Also lots of bullets lately, mostly plated and in 45 acp and 9mm.

Re: who's reloading tonight?

Hey George,
How about you unload a few 30-40 krag rounds and do a range report? I'd love to hear more about how that rifle does and what load you've developed for it.

I'm glad you like 68c15, but frankly I'd rather have the space you and the others have. I'm more than happy sitting around any campfire, and a fire pit need be no more than a place to hold it.
