Lots of shopping - I'm a freak for Antique stores of any kind and of course there are plenty of Pubs:D :D and good food. Mainly like to hang out and enjoy the views while reading and sippin some brew

I just picked up a good deal on a 10" 7mm TCU barrel for my Thompson. I do not have a chart in my Speer manual for 7 tcu :confused:

New toy - and upgraded with curly maple stock
Well I picked up a Thompson Contender a few weeks ago and decided that the curly striped maple that was sitting around the shop needed some shaping and this is what I came up with

The first was not real accurate as I started with a bullet that was already 4.515.... I tried again with a roundball that is 4.75 and smashed her in - through... Guess what it came out 4.58...

I just slugged the barrel with a lead .45 bullet measuring 4.515 it was tight all the way through and came out measuring 4.515 from land to groove. All 3 lands visible on the bullet... What does that...

I measured the FACTORY Federals and the bullet is only 4.51 - I know what you are...

Thanks James. Yeah the factory loads are also supposed to keep it around 21,000 just for the older guns. Just wondering if there was any data for the 250 grn bullets....

Ok - just picked up a Springfield Trapdoor. This has been completely redone and I think has a newer barrel (carbine length) as the bore is mirror bright. I know that the normal rounds are 300 or 400...
