You are correct. They made GLYCERINE from the Tallow and of course that was nitrated to make guncotton (single base powder) or nitroglycerine which was added to the guncotton to make double base...

Your tip is crucial. Thank you. I also noted that I worked harder in cleaning the alloy I put into the pot because a lot of the time it was crud, dirt, impure alloy that was the basis of the clog...

If you use the Lee autodisk powder measure, it needs a pistol (or rifle ) charging dies specifically for your caliber.

They also need to know if you are loading jacketed or cast bullets.

Until they went up to 26 bux a box I HAD been using Winchester. At a gunshow my powder supplier now offers primers from Russia at Half the price, Wolfe is One of his Russian Brands, WR is the other....
