I got my correct stock M38 from Aztec when they were 49.99 in early 2004 :D and a nice 1938 Tula 91/30 for the same price. Would be nice to find some more refurbs for the same price.

Far and flat? I'd say 22-250 or 220 swift for that, or another step up might be 25-06. Not sure about the recoil of 25-06 though,...

It was at 50 yards...the sights aren't much are for precision shooting. Even though its only 50, everything looks like a big blur. My right eye isn't the greatest either. I'll try other targets...
