Re: Old Winchester Octagon Model 94

Hello, Pa.

Looks like a standard SRC from the pics. In that condition, about $500 or so but that sight will pull $100 by itself any day.

As far as the 1894 rifle you mention, $950 is too steep...

Re: What in you opinion are these worth?

John H Hall (if that is your maker) is one of the better known early 19th century riflemakers. Many of his rifles were military pattern, although he certainly made sporting firearms. He even...

Re: winchester stock screws

I wouldn't say it is a common problem, but we are beginning to see it more frequently with the new Winchester lever guns. Once you get the initial bugs worked out (like loose screws) they run pretty...

Nah, he doesnt get too stressed out unless somebody's coming down the road. He is a great companion, and an excellent working dog. Rem is an accelerant-detection canine, so he has earned his keep.

Re: SW99 S&W .380 Sigma for $100 + $30 transfer

That's the most I'd pay. $75 would be a better deal.

Better yet, spend a little more and get a used something-else.

Re: has anyone ever seen?

Marlin made several different shotgun models with exposed hammers, to compete with the Winchester 1893 and 1897 models.

The Marlins are slightly more collectable than the Winchester 1911, and were...

It's a Winchester Model 1911. One of the company's bigger disappointments and a prime example of what happened when Winchester parted ways with John Browning.

Model 1911's are generally found in...

Re: help on model 1100 lw magnum

The U guns are the 20 LW guns, not the newer LT20 guns. The LW20 Magnum did exist. The barrel interchangeability is dicey, as Remington made some changes in 1977 and other changes in 1981.

Re: Firing pin hole out of round

Yes.

As long as you have adequate firing pin protrusion and the pin travels freely without sticking, you should have no problems.
