Look at it like this:

If you get a M44, you have only to bore out the butt stock,

and the cleaning tools will go behind the butt plate.

Then, not only is the rifle fully complete and self-contained,

but you'll be on the way to rounding out your Mosin

collection. Get a really good one, or you'll have a lifetime to

regret not spending that additional 80$...
