But as I read that, there is a test. You either pass it or you fail it. They want at least 90% of the Orientals to pass it. At least 88% of the whites to pass it. And at least 74% of the blacks to pass it.

As long as the test does not get dumbed down, and as long as each race has to take the same test, what's the harm?

All they are saying is, "We think blacks are stupid, and we're going to bust our butts to make 3/4 of them pass". Great. Show them they are wrong. Show them blacks are not stupid. All of 'em pass. Take off the do-rags, pull up your pants, quit speaking Ebonics and pay attention in school. Stop trying so damn hard to be A BLACK, and try being A STUDENT.

The problem is that there should be no measurement of any demographic on any level. Establish the acceptable pass-fail based on whatever and be done. Either you pass or you don't. If nobody purple passes in a given test cycle, the there weren't any purple people smart enough to pass at that particular point in time. To expect a percentage of a certain socio-ethnic group to have a higher pass rate than another socio-ethnic group is inherently racist and eliteist.
