Thanks for the ongoing prayers, folks.

Update: He has had a few complications--some fever, and a paralytic ileus, both of which seem to be getting sorted. He is upbeat, in good spirits, starting to drink liquids and anticipating the chemo stage. This will be 6 sessions of three days, at 21 day intervals.
