Default Jack404

This is a good one for you Jack.. Ive got a Parker Hale replica enfield P1858. The bayonet lug is about a half inch too far forward.. How are these lugs attached to the barrel? I cannot see any brasing material beneath it. My first thought is it is D/T and the screw hole welded up and filed smooth.

Customer wants it moved back a half inch or so so his sword bayonet will clear the muzzle at the guard.
