Whatever God does, you can be sure that Satan will counterfeit it sooner or later! That old scum-bag just WILL NOT GIVE UP!

Today is another recognized day. On November 2nd in 1917, the following letter was written as a formal statement of British policy:
"Dear Lord Rothschild,
"I have much pleasure in conveying to you, on behalf of His Majesty's Government, the following declaration of sympathy with Jewish Zionist aspirations which has been submitted to, and approved by, the Cabinet: 'His Majesty's Government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country'.
"I should be grateful if you would bring this declaration to the knowledge of the Zionist Federation.
"Yours sincerely
"Arthur James Balfour"

This became known as the Balfour Declaration. Thirty years later, this mandate was presented to the UN, and they approved it. The new fledgling state of Israel was subsequently attacked by their Arab neighbors. During that short and decisive war, Israel captured sufficient territory to allow them to defend themselves against future aggression. It took an additional thirty years before an Arab country recognized Israels right to exist; a peace treaty was signed in 1978 at the Camp David accords between Israel and Egypt. The rest of the Arab world responded with anger, and promptly broke ties with Egypt, even moving the Arab League headquarters out of that country.

This land, and MUCH more, was given to the Jews by God:
Genesis 17:8 (KJV);
“And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

There is no controversy over who owns this land. The problem is that the Arabs do not recognize that fact, and actually believe they have the power to change it through force of arms. I have confidence that this will never happen.
