Less than a .243. Much less than a .25-06.
I'd say somewhere between .223 and .243.
No problem with sore shoulder even after a good 200 round day of prairie dog shooting.

Power...
It'll carry enough enough energy to take varmints/coyotes/etc out to 400yds.
Again, more than .223 and less than .243.
It'll push a 55gr bullet to about 3700-3800fps.
Me being a bit hypocritical since I did use a .22-250 on deer for 5 or 6 years but it's useable on deer ONLY if you're sure you can get good shot placement and keep your shots below 100yds.

What ya looking to use it for? Varmints, targets, deer, etc?
