Re: Just an observation
There is a story in Genesis 25 starting at V 29 about Jacob and Esau. Jacob was cooking some stew and Esau wanted some. He felt so hungry he sold his birthright for a bowl of stew. In later passages of scripture we hear several times about 'the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob' - notice Esau is never mentioined. He sold his birthright for a bowl of stew.
Today our stew can be booze, drugs, porn, illicit afffairs, lust, greed, fornication...
I admit, many times in my life selling my birthright for some of these bowls of stew. I cannot imagine what blessings were lost by not remaining faithful to the commands of my God, my Lord and Savior Jesus.
I can't fix anyone but me. The government most certainly can't fix anyone.
