Re: CB/SSB Radio Use - I have a few questions.
"Do they still test and require Morse Code?"
Nope. They really dumbed down the requirements but some of the questions are still out of the dark ages.
"What if you operate a ham radio setup without a license?"
One, it is against the law. If and when you get caught, you stand the chance of a hefty fine. Also you would need a call sign and with the technology now days, it is very easy to determine if a call sign is fake or not. There is a method by which the FCC issues call signs so you would have to do a little searching. You could give me a call sign and I can tell within seconds if it fake or not and if it is real, who it belongs to.
"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Peter Carr, 1785
