His shelves, which are normally fully stocked, are very thin. I went for .223/5.56, it don't matter to me i'll shoot anything but steel through it, and he was almost wiped out. I bought three boxes of the Federal 5.56, 20 round white boxes, leaving five boxes on the shelf.

He said buisness has been VERY brisk since the election and he cant keep up with the demand. I called a friend and he said WalMart was completely wiped out of any and all calibers with the exception of shot shells.

I hope this paranoia slows down or else prices will go through the roof. I've never had a problem getting any caliber, or for that matter any brand where i'm at, until now.

Have any of you folks noticed a shorter supply as of late?

Exactly what problems do you have with steel? I shoot it all the time and have good luck with it. It shoots straight, fairly clean, never jams or misfires and is priced right. Since I am not reloading, who cares?
