Re: Any info on this, what do you think?
No.
His first statement that Aramaic is older than Hebrew is false. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew with the exception of the last six chapters of Daniel, which were written in Aramaic, the language in use at the end of Daniel's life, if I recall correctly. In fact, Jesus would most probably have been talking in Aramaic, not Hebrew although Hebrew was used in the temples.
Wav that he refers to is a conjunction, most commonly translated "and". Going back to my references I cannot find any instance of it being translated or even understood to mean "from".
There are two approaches to delving into Scripture.
One asks, "God, what are you telling me today? What does your Word have to say to me and what do you want me do do?" and going in to find out what the Scriptures mean, from passages, verses, words, grammar. I allow God to tell me; He shapes my life using His Word. This is drawing out the meaning of Scripture, and good ministers, preparing sermons, do this. It's called Exegesis.
The other approach is Isogesis, where a person decides what he wants God to say and goes into the Bible to find verses, passages, words, grammar, that back his ideas up. If you twist something enough you can get it to say anything you want. He reads his ideas into God's Word.
