The difference in damage I'd say is pretty small between those two with the same type of bullet. Velocity has quite a bit to do with damage in either of those calibers. Shot placement is what makes all the difference. A head shot with either one will take about anything on this continent and won't spoil any meat. (unless you eat brains, I do not  ) |

We havent got a rifle season here for deer, but with all other hunting....
NOTHING like a good head shot.
