Hey a good humior properly kept will last a long, long time.
Just don't do like I did once and oversaturated a big old 100+ cigar box. The water got all through the wood and even through to the bottom felt and it started to STINK. Nothing, nothing would get the odor out, sanding, new cedar chips, nothing.
So get it going, get a good hygrometer....and ENJOY a few cigars.
