I just heard about this on a Pittsburgh news report.

They said "the gun somehow discharged".

Somehow? That made it sound as if the gun was just setting there and for no reason at all it just discharged.

They interviewed someone from the gun shop, they said many people don't know to empty the chamber and think the gun is unloaded when they pull the mag. (they said "clip")

Really? People really believe that?

Maybe they should have given the guy some basics on loading and unloading a semi-auto handgun. When I worked in a gun shop I always asked if they know how to properly load and unload and went over the basics if they were new to guns.

But, some people are just stupid and you can't fix that. And no, I'm not blaming the shop that sold it.

I was taught at the age of 5 that ALL guns are always loaded. Even when you are positive it is not loaded it is treated as if it were. A simple rule that my dad and grandfather drilled into my little head.
