The church all too often shoots its wounded.
But Psalm 147:2-3:
The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
he gathers the outcasts of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.

And then Isaiah 42:3
a bruised reed he will not break,
and a faintly burning wick he will not quench;
he will faithfully bring forth justice.

God is in the people repairing business. I guess the key is restoring such an one. If he won't restore--repent, change, what then?
