I've had a Rem 700 in .308 for some while... it works well for me however I'm in the process of purchasing a SIG Blaser R93 Tactical 2 that I believe will do what you're looking for. I purchased 2 chamberings for it .308 & .338 Lapua. The .338 I plan to use for the longer ranges. I like the SIG because it is so modular. Just MHO.
