I don't own either but if I did, I'd choose the .40 simply due to more platforms available in .40 S&W and plinking ammo is a bit cheaper. I really don't see many .357 Sigs (or the ammo for them) at the two shops I frequent, but it seems every other pistol is a .40 S&W.
