It's definitely pre 1968. Almost all the ones in the US are. I have SN 4222XX. You have the lightweight model, which is considerably rarer than the all steel standard model. These are considered one of the finest .25 autos made. The "S" is not part of the serial number-it means the gun is "safe" when it is visible.
Value in like new condition is $400+.
