this revolver has the same features as serial number S18974 so it would be the same variation, which is the fourth variation manufactured between 1937 and 1941. 1936 was the last year for a frame mounted firing in the pre war models. production was stopped in 1942 and did not resume until 1949 and in 1951 after a post war production of only 215 revolvers the single action model was discontinued for good. there are no known factory records for the single action model so i can't say for sure but most likely less than 25,000 manufactured before the war.
