Would I be pissing in anybody's corn flakes, if I suggested the .50 BMG, was the way to go?
I have shot at the distance, both at paper, and meat, most satisfactoraly, except for the fact that the .308 is 'on the wane', lacking energy, at that range; can I hit it?, heck, yes, but 'dump it', a different queston, entirely.
With the .50BMG, the only question is about 'point of impact'; the energy is there!
If you are 'humping' it, the .50 is a bit of a load, but the bottom line is purpose, and results, for which it is the ultimate amswer.
