Default Woodchuck in Tomato Sauce

1 young woodchuck (ground hog), cut into serving pieces
Water to cover
1/2 cup vinegar
Seasoned flour
3 tablespoons cooking oil
1 minced garlic clove
Pepper
2 cups tomato sauce
1/4 teaspoon basil

Soak woodchuck pieces in vinegar and water overnight. Remove from marinade and drain on paper toweling. Roll in seasoned (S&P) flour. Brown in heavy skillet in cooking oil. Add garlic and saute for a few minutes. Pepper meat and add tomato sauce and basin. Cover skillet and simmer for 2 hours or until tender. SERVES: 4
