Have series 70s and series 80s. Polished (stoned) the parts in both series and the difference is not noticable to me. Saw quite a bit of quality difference in the internals - these are all Colts. One series 80 pistol had some edges on the internal trigger safety levers but they stoned off easily.

I am not sure what a gun owner can do that does not put him/her on the legal edge. Even changing grips can make a gun handle differently from "factory intentions" according to one prosecutor I read!!! Another said the only reaosn an owner added Trijicon sights was to be able to shoot people at night. The world is full of idiots who will do anything for a buck ... probably with a grant from the anti's. Especially in CA!!
