I presently have six (6) Ruger 1022s of varying models, etc and each and every one of them runs fine and reliably until they get dirty. .22 ammo is *dirty* ammo and the lubrication, etc associated with it will eventually cause most any rifle/carbine to have trouble- especially so with the semis.

I have also modified each by radiusing the rear ventral bolts, polishing the bolts, and all but one of the little beauties have the Volquartsen claw as extractors.

Anyhow, those 1022s have been invaluable in my NRA instruction and teaching my kids and grandkids to shoot.

I have two of the rifles in the .920 bbl and can shoot flies off the targets with confidence at 25 yds.
