This is just a smokescreen for the general public guys & gals. Basic police work has to still be done.
As I've said before, you have to put 'that' bullet, into 'the' gun used in 'the' crime, and into 'the' hand of the person that pulled the trigger. Any other argument is just to blow smoke up everyone's dress.
How many times have you dropped a round at the range? So it gets used in a crime. What does law enforcement and the evidence code dictate what happens next? Put the bullet in the gun that fired it, in the hand that pulled the trigger.....
This whole thing is so completely B.S. that it is frightening.
