For that price range you can find a well-made knife that would serve you well, but I fear the horizontal sheath might be a tough find. I know custom makers that do that, like Bob Dozier down Ark. way. His horizontal kydex sheaths are really cool and hold the knife securely. I think for this price the best I could recommend would be a Browning model 751. Has a deep-bellied 4 1/2 in drop point blade and pinned, black micarta handles. A smaller 2 1/2 in clip point folder snaps into the handle. Really nice combo for heavy field-dressing chores and even caping(with the folder) Both knives have great edges. They can be hard to find, and when they came out were about 150-200 bucks. I have four! Found a guy on e-bay and bought six at 50.00 ea. Gave one away at dear camp last year for the big buck contest.

I have noticed they seem to go for 40.00 on up now.
