I think this is a good idea too -
But I agree that the LOCATION for such an index is problematic -
The group has a TON of forums already, so adding one for this is out -

Now, when someone is looking for HELP, don't you think they would come to this forum to find it, just as angryisme did?

Technical Support Forum should be the place for it, I do believe, with a note on the general thread letting folks know it is here?

My thought would be a sticky thread at the top which would consist of a single post, with all of these alphabet names in alphabetical order. Adding a name would be done by editing that post, so they are all kept together -

FL - Flint Lock firearm
H & A - Hopkins and Allen
H & R - Harrington and Richardson
LA - Lever Action firearm
LEO - Law Enforcement Officer
ML - Muzzle Loader
O/U - Over and Under multi-barrel weapon, usually rifle over shot gun.
RKBA - Right to Keep and Bear Arms
SA or Semi - Semi-Automatic firearm; one shot per trigger pull.
SA - Slide Action firearm
SA - Single Action Revolver.
S/N - Serial Number
S/N - Screen Name
SS - Single Shot firearm
