I have been buying guns for almost 40 years and my wife just got used to it. It was sort of one of those things that also let her get what she wanted. She walked by my safe one day and said "Where did all those come from" and I said "They just multiply in the dark" and then I said " I have both of our sons guns in here as well as my Dad's.

Anyway, If the other half is getting what they think is fair in the deal they usually won't say to much about what you buy as long as the bills are paid.

The 243 is an awesome deer round by the way and highly recommended although I think the 25-06 is better and I have both.
