Default Re: I let this deer walk

The camera is a Moultrie. I believe the model is a D4. It is a 4 megapixel and is a flash type. I like the flash type better than the infrared. With the infrared type, you lose color at night. You just get shades of black and white.

I paid $90 for it at Academy Sports. A friend of mine has a Cuddeback flash type. He paid $200 for it. I think mine takes just about as good pictures as his. The big difference is trigger speed. Mine has a slow trigger speed. If you notice in the picture in my original post, the deer had time to walk across more than half the picture before it triggered. Also with mine the shortest delay between pictures is one minute. The Cuddebak can be set to a few seconds delay.

I am satisfied based on the price I paid for it. Now if I had paid $200 for a camera with this performance, I would not be satisfied. Here are some more pictures from it.
