I would agree that there not much one can do to make antlers tasty, but I think the whole point of the TV show is to sell hunts. I don't think the show would be all that popular or would sell very many hunts if they were just showing some guy shooting does in an apple orchard. I think the antler thing is somewhat like a guy that thinks he needs a Cadillac when a Chevy will do just fine, but the Chevy won't draw the crowd hence the Caddy.
