I see no problem with holding up the line and splitting the payment. If the guy behind me don't like it, he can go get in another line. Had a gift card to Publix, one time. I had 19 cents left on it. Next time I went, I used it first, to burn up that 19 cents, and then pulled out the Discover.

Dang cellphone company sent me a Visa Debit as a rebate. Went to Golden Corral, t'other day. Lady asked if I wanted money back to leave a tip. I told her there was 30 bucks on the card, and could I have it all back? She wouldn't do it. Oh well. At least it's good anywhere that takes Visa. Would truly suck to get a card that was only good at one store.
