I'm trying to identify a 9mm head stamp. It is B/|\E. I've seen an online listing refer to it as B^E with a picture of the exact head stamp I have but they don't say who it is. I'm so far assuming it is BNE but not sure. I had gotten a 1941 Walter P38 with the original bullets in the clip that were there when the vet pulled it from the German. 8 of the bullets were German manufactured (like I expect the one I'm trying to identify is) but 9 of the bullets were WRA (USA - Winchester Repeating Arms Co). So it is obvious they were trying to use any bullets they could find and had gotten some American Ammo.
