He put in a match grade BBL, full length guide rod, polished the feed ramp, tightened it up some and since then the only issues I have had were on some lead reloads that I didn't seat the bullet properly. Once I did they fed as just fine.
The guide rod is held in by a piece that requires an allen wrench to remove so field stripping requires a wrench but other than that I have no issues with it.
What your smith did was improve the gun's accuracy and function.....oh yea, and sold you a full lengh guide rod too.
