I'm that guy that carries a .45 1911 with 3" barrel year round as far as the 9mm goes it's better than a 380 but not a .45. If one wishes to say a 9mm with +p then I get to say the same for a .45 +p.

That being said The gun you can comfortably carry and is reliable that you can shoot well should be your carry gun.
