Your best bet for a Garand is the CMP. I doubt your gonna find one under 500, though. Mine was 550, and that was four years ago.
K98s are relatively easy to find. Southern Ohio Gun, for example, has 'em for under 300.

Mosins are really cheap. Also have some at SOG, for 77 bucks.
