Default Re: The Changing Scene

So long as our only recourse remains writing emails, sending letters, and attempting to vote them out, then nothing will ever change. You can "kick and scream" all you want, but it will fall on deaf ears. People today are too small minded, selfish, and generally ignorant of the political process and ramifications thereof, to do anything at all. So long as their children aren't being asked to fight in a foreign land, they have a job with meager pay, a car to drive around in, and they get a tax refund check every year, then they could care less. It's going to take drastic measures to bring about real change. You know it. I know it. And they know it. Heck, the whole world knows it! The only people that don't seem to get it are the lazy riff-raff that make up the majority of our population. Thomas Jefferson was dead on when he wrote of the "Tree of Liberty."

Remember: Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, et. al. were all looked at in much the same way (by the hierarchy in England) that Ron and Rand Paul, Palin, Beck, and many others are looked at today. There are parallels that can be drawn between events like Waco and Ruby Ridge and events that occurred throughout the colonies prior to 1775. This thing may well be under way already and we don't even recognize the signs. All I am saying is that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I am just sad that it looks like the bad guys will win this time without ever having to fire a shot (previous examples of innocent people being killed by their government notwithstanding)...
