Double D, if I were in poverty I would accept a wage.
But the fact is, I worked as a design engineer for most of my ministry, built up a 401 K, and when I retired we were able to pay off all our bills and have some investments left, plus we draw early SS from the years I paid into it.
I am not knocking pastors that DO draw a salary at all -
But for me, we get by fine without it, so the church has just that much more to help those in need.
