Our founders warned that if we as a nation were to forget God and become lawless in our behaviors, we would revert into a police state.

The early founders mentioned people being inwardly lawful, following the laws of God as saved Christians. This inward law would prevent our government from having to watch our every move just to keep us in line. They mentioned that when we got too lawless, we would have to be governed by a dictator just to stave off kaos.
