Smith and Wessons are fine for what they are. Plenty of people love them.

I'd take a Dan Wesson at the range any day. Best trigger out there. Very strong action that locks up in two points, instead of one.

Capable of shooting much hotter loads. Favored by many silhouette shooters for this reason. Knocks down the steel when stuck by ice.

Duel tensioned barrel gives same POI round after round, no matter the temperature. For better accuracy use a thinner shim to adjust the cylinder gap.


For all that, they are heavy as a brick. I sure wouldn't choose one as a duty revolver.

Oh yea. Those S&W's. I never got over the fact that their rifling is backwards, and the cylinders revolve the wrong way.
