I think a lot of people dont completely appreciate the basic, "bone stock" Colt Official Police 38 special revolvers; they are very under appreciated in my opinion. The same is true of the Police Positive Specials. I think most shooters recognize the Python for the work of art that it is, but frankly, I think all the OP series (41 frame) revolvers are all equally graceful and magnificent. If you hold in your hand, or take out and shoot, an OP, or an Officers Model Match or Target, of a Commando, or a New Army/Navy (which actually proceeded the production of the first OP's), as well as the Python, Trooper, Lawman, Marshal, etc. you just seem to FEEL the fit, and the smoothness of action, and the balance. Its hard to describe, until you handle one. There's nothing wrong with a Kframe, or a Ruger Six, but DAMN, those Colts.................Ahhhhhh.
