Many people claim that revolvers are not pistols, they are "revolvers". Only semi autos are "pistols".
Since firearms designed to be held and fired with one hand have been called "pistols" since the 1500s, several hundred years before semiautos were invented, I find that funny.
From the way your post was worded, I presumed you were new to firearms, and that your friends had told you, "This is a pistol. Those two are
revolvers"., so I was attempting to correct your false impression.
From your following posts I've decided that English is not your first language, and some unfamiliarity with the language may have lead me to presume unfamiliarity with handguns.
