The church I grew up in measured its priorities by its budget. (that was one measure; there were other measures of priorities, but as Jesus said (paraphrase), "your heart is where your treasure is" As long as the "Ministry" part of the budget outweighed the "Bricks and mortar" side of the budget the congregation knew the priorities were right.

As a church we chose carefully who and what organisations we supported.
